Maddie is a sweet breeder release girl - she has a very concerning mammary tumor that will need to be surgically removed and sent out for histopathology. She also has horribly infected teeth and will require a dental cleaning and likely extraction of several diseased/abscessed teeth. She is not currently available for adoption and won't be until she receives a clean bill of health. Won't you consider donating towards Maddie's much needed and deserved veterinary care? *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
