Fantasia came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. She is a bit timid and skittish at first but once she warms up, she soaks up all of the love and attention. She wags her tail nonstop every time her foster mom walks in the room.

Fantasia is still learning what being a beloved family member is all about. She would do best in a home with a confident resident dog to learn from and follow. Fantasia has never worn a harness or been walked on a leash so a home with a physically fenced in yard is required.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe.
  • Home with older & respectful children only.
  • Confident resident dog to continue to help teach Fantasia learn how to be a dog.

Fantasia has been spayed & received a dental cleaning, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

More about Fantasia

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good for Seniors/Elderly, Requires a yard

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
