Miniature Schnauzer : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Small
Snowman is a very sweet schnauzer boy who came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. Snowman is sweet but extremely skittish and scared - living in a home setting is all new to him and he will need a very patient family willing to give him the time he needs to adjust and acclimate. He doesn't quite understand that human touch is supposed to be a good thing. Snowman connects better with dogs and will require another resident dog in the home that he can learn from. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Snowman was neutered and received a dental while in rescue. He is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 plus tax. More about SnowmanGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained, Timid, Skittish *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. |
