Gidget is a fun little Cavalier that came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility.

Gidget has done very well with her housetraining while in foster care and is also crate trained - she feels safe in her crate and will go in there on her own at times.

She loves the other dogs in her foster home and would do best in a home with at least one other resident dog. Gidget loves her mealtimes and gets so excited when her foster mom starts dishing up food bowls!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe when outdoors for exercise and potty breaks.
  • Confident resident dog to continue to teach Gidget how to be a dog.
  • Gidget would do best in a home with older/respectful children only.

Gidget has been spayed and received an extensive dental while in rescue, she is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $550 plus tax.

More about Gidget

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Cratetrained, Eager To Please, Gentle

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
