Teddy is a very sweet cocker spaniel/mini poodle mix that came to SFCR after spending the first 8 months of his life in a commercial breeding facility.

Teddy is working hard on his housetraining and has done very well. He is also crate trained and used to sleeping in a crate at night. Teddy does very well with the other dogs in his foster home. Teddy is a bit smaller and more affectionate than his brother, Tank. He loves to run, play, and go for long walks.

Teddy is still a puppy and needs lots of toys, chews, and mental/physical stimulation to keep him busy. He is a very smart boy and would excel in obedience classes.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard preferred but not required. Priority will be given to applicants with a fenced in yard.
  • Patient family with the time and patience required to raise and train a puppy.

Teddy has been neutered while in rescue, tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $600 plus tax.

More about Teddy

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Playful, Affectionate

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
