Hi there! I'm Benny! I came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. I am loving my new life and ready to find a forever family of my very own.

I am working hard on my housetraining and wear a belly band in the house to keep me accountable. I don't mind being crated and am used to sleeping in my crate at night.

I do well with the other dogs in my foster home but don't have much patience for young puppies these days. I am a corgi after all ;)

I wouldn't mind being someone's one and only pup or a home with a mild mannered resident dog would be cool too!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard - Benny is a breeder release dog and not familiar or comfortable walking on a harness/leash. A physical fence is required for his safety.

Benny has been neutered, received a dental cleaning, and had a benign cyst removed while in rescue. He is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 plus tax.

More about Benny

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Cratetrained, Affectionate

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
