Rosalie came to SFCR after a life of commercial breeding. She has made great progress while in rescue but is still timid and shy when meeting new people. 

Rosalie does well with the other dogs in her foster home but doesn’t have much patience for playful and rambunctious puppies.

Rosalie will do best in a quiet, adult home. She will need plenty of time to adjust and acclimate to her new home and family.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard.
  • Similar sized resident dog preferred.
  • Respectful, dog savvy kids only (ages 10+).

 
Rosalie has been spayed and received a dental cleaning with multiple extractions. She is current on vaccinations and monthly preventatives, tested negative for heartworm and tick borne diseases, dewormed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
