Hey! I'm Leia - a darling little cavalier puppy in search of my forever family. I was the runt of the litter so I am a tiny little thing.

I am a very sweet girl and I love to eat, take naps, and play wit my siblings.

I am crate trained and working hard on my housetraining. I have been using potty pads so far.

I mingle well with everybody and would love another dog to play with. I will need a fenced yard as leash training is still a work in progress and I am still pretty little.

I will also need a local adopter so that I can come back to the rescue's vet for my spay surgery when I am old enough. I also have an umbilical hernia that will need to be repaired at the time of my spay.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard preferred.
  • Family with the time & patience required to raise, train, and socialize a puppy.
  • Local adoption required to fulfill spay contract.  

 

Leia is current on age-appropriate vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $700 plus tax, which includes her spay surgery & hernia repair covered by the rescue when age appropriate.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
