Hey there, I'm Atlas! I came to SFCR as a breeder release boy and I am now ready to find a forever family of my very own. I am loving all that my new life has to offer and have made really good progress with my foster family. I love to be on the couch snuggled up with my foster mom. I am a really chill, laid back fella, and just like to hang out and be loved. I get along with everyone - dogs, cats, respectful kids, etc. A confident resident dog to help teach me the ropes would be ideal - I love the company of other dogs. I am working hard on my housetraining but wear a belly band in the house to keep me honest. I am also crate trained and used to sleeping in my crate at night.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Atlas has been neutered & received a dental with extractions (6) while in rescue. He tested negative for heartworm & tick borne disease, is current on vaccinations, monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 plus tax. More about AtlasGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Cratetrained, Even-tempered, Gentle *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
