Mazie came to SFCR back in February after being released from a commercial breeding facility.

She was in rough shape when she arrived but is loving all that her new life has to offer. All of the hair on Mazie's tail had fallen out and after some bloodwork it was discovered that she is hypothyroid. Mazie started medication and her thyroid level is right where it should be. She has more energy now and the hair on her tail is growing back!

Mazie's thyroid medication is given twice a day and it is something she will require lifelong. The medication costs approximately $30 a month, she will also need bloodwork every 6-12 months.

Mazie is working on her housetraining but it is still a work in progress and will need a consistent schedule. She does very well with other small dogs and even enjoys playing with toys.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

Physically fenced in yard.
Confident (similar sized) resident dog preferred.
Family with the time and patience to continue housetraining & socialization.

Mazie has been spayed and received a dental cleaning while in rescue. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350 plus tax.
