Eleanor is a beautiful Golden Retriever in search of her forever family. She has made great progress while in rescue but will need a forever family willing to help her build more confidence and come out of her shell. The other goldens in Eleanor's foster home have done a phenomenal job teaching her what being a dog is all about. Eleanor will require a home with another dog as most of her confidence comes from being around other confident dogs at this point. She is crate trained and doing very well with her housetraining. She is a very sweet golden girl with so much love to give.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Eleanor has been spayed and received a dental cleaning. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax. More about Eleanor (Nellie)Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Cratetrained, Timid *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
