Pip is a sweet little poodle who arrived to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding situation. Living in a home with people is brand new to her but she is figuring out that it's a pretty darn good thing.

Pip is working on her housetraining but it is a work in progress. She will need continued consistency in her forever home. She loves other dogs and being around them boosts her confidence tremendously.

Pip would do fine in a home with older, respectful children that know how to properly/respectfully interact with a tiny little dog like her.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard - leash training/walking is completely foreign to Pip and she is a flight risk. She must have a physical fence to keep her safe.
  • Confident (similar sized) resident dog to help Pip continue to come out of her shell and learn how to be a dog.

Pip has been spayed and received an extensive dental with multiple extractions. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax.

More about Pip

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Likes to be in your lap, Timid, Skittish

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
