Wilson made his way to SFCR after being rescued from an unfortunate situation. Wilson arrived with a severely injured left eye. It was obvious it had been injured for quite some time and due to the severity the eye had to be surgically removed. Don't worry though - Wilson is much better off without it and it is obvious how much better he feels.

Wilson loves everybody - other dogs, cats, kids, etc. However, chickens and other livestock are a no-go for him. His foster family lives on an acreage and he definitely has a prey drive.

Wilson is a lover towards his people and very affectionate. He shows his gratitude for the brand new life put before him.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard (due to prey drive and limited vision)

Wilson has been neutered, heartworm tested negative, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

More about Wilson

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Cratetrained, Affectionate

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
