Sweet Lavern is a very special little cavalier. She came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding program.

Lavern loves to hunt and chase all of the squirrels and rabbits in the backyard. She loves to be outside and with the other dogs. Her foster mom says she has the absolute greatest Mohawk :)

Lavern is crate trained and working on her housetraining. 

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard.
  • Confident resident dog preferred.

Lavern has been spayed and had a dental with a few extractions. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
