Wilma is a very special cavalier who came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding program. She is a bit timid when meeting new people and is startled by sudden movements and loud noises. She has made great progress with her foster family and loves to be by her foster mom's side. It has been discovered that Wilma is a bit of a sock thief so you will want to make sure you keep your socks picked up :) Wilma is crate trained and making good progress on her housetraining. She will need a fenced in yard as she is not leash trained.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Wilma has been spayed and had a dental. She also had entropion of her right eye corrected. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax. More about WilmaGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained, Timid *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
