Brooklyn is a sweet cavalier who came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding program.

Brooklyn loves dog beds and soft, comfy blankets. She hasn't shown much interest in toys. She is crate trained and working on her housetraining.

Brooklyn is timid when meeting new people and needs a little extra time to warm up.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences.
  • Confident resident dog to help Brooklyn continue to build confidence and learn how to "dog".
  • Family with older, dog savvy kiddos only.

Brooklyn has been spayed and also had a dental cleaning with just a couple minor extractions. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease. She is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

More about Brooklyn

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained, Timid

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
