Cavalier King Charles Spaniel : : Male (not neutered) : : Baby : : Small
Asher is an adorable little cavalier puppy who is ready to find a very special family of his very own. He was born in rescue on New Year's Day and his first few weeks of life were a bit rough. Asher had to be resuscitated for over 45 minutes as he aspirated amniotic fluid. He ended up with aspiration pneumonia and required tube feedings and an incubator. This little fella is a fighter and a special little miracle. Since Asher was a singleton, he has spent a little extra time in foster care to get him up to speed with his socialization. His foster siblings have taught him so much and he is doing SO well! Asher lives to EAT, sleeps all night in his crate, and is doing awesome with his housetraining (as long as he is kept on a consistent schedule). He LOVES toys and playing with the other pups in his foster home. Asher will be a LOCAL adoption only. His neuter surgery will be paid for by the rescue when age appropriate (June/July).
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Asher is current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $850 plus tax, which includes his neuter surgery paid for by SFCR. More about AsherGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Cratetrained, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Affectionate *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. |
