Meet Carl! He is a super friendly guy with an infectious smile! He is a loyal companion who will follow you around wherever you go. He loves to play fetch and run around outside, and he also loves to snuggle up next to you for a tummy rub or nap! 

He is outgoing and friendly with other dogs and great with kids. He is house trained, and leash trained. A fenced in yard is a must as carl loves the outdoors!

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard - no invisible fences.
  • Confident resident dog preferred.

Carl has been neutered, tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, current on vaccinations (rabies, DAPPL, bordetella) & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $650 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
