Iris was born in rescue after her momma (Chloe Sue) arrived to rescue with a tummy full of babies!

Iris is fiercely independent, curious, and oh so smart!

*Iris and her siblings will be available starting 7/22/24. Applicants will be screened and chosen prior to the availability date.

Iris has an umbilical hernia that will need to be repaired at the time of her spay.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard preferred.
  • Cavaliers are prone to developing mitral valve (heart disease) as adults. Please do ample research on cavaliers and their potential health issues prior to applying.
  • Family with the time and patience required to properly train & socialize a puppy.
  • Iris will be adopted out with a mandatory spay agreement/contract. 

Iris is current on age-appropriate vaccinations & deworming, and has also been microchipped. Her adoption fee is $700 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
