Lizzy is a very affectionate girl who was surrendered to SFCR due to flooding/displacement. She is kennel trained but much prefers to sleep in bed with her people. She was trained to use potty pads but is working on transitioning to going outdoors. She is super smart and has a very loving personality. Lizzy would do ok in a home with another dog with a very slow introduction. However, she would be perfectly happy and content as an only dog. She loves to be outside and loves her treats. Lizzy could play fetch for hours but is just as happy snuggling next to her human.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Lizzy is spayed and scheduled for a dental on 7/11. She tested negative for heartworm, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350 plus tax. More about LizzyGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Affectionate *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. |
