Lana is an amazing girl who is loving all that her new life has to offer.

She is starting to really enjoy toys. She loves to get pets from her foster family and be wherever they are. She enjoys being outside and her most favorite thing is her big comfy dog bed.

Meal times make Lana very happy, she will even do a little happy dance when you are getting her food ready. Lana will need a family who is patient and willing to give her time to warm up. She is still cautious in her foster home, especially with unfamiliar noises or sudden movements. 

Lana is doing great with her housetraining as long as she is taken out consistently. She is also doing very well with leash training.

Lana has discovered that sometimes there are items on the counter that she would really like to have. Her foster family is working teaching her the "off" command.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences.
  • Resident dog to help show her the ropes and build her confidence is preferred. 
  • Home with older, respectful children only.

Lana is scheduled for her spay/dental on 8/20. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $450 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
