Bichon Frise : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small
Sloan came to SFCR as a breeder release. She was in desperate need of veterinary attention as we quickly discovered she had a pyometra (infected uterus). She was spayed and put on antibiotics immediately and is feeling so much better. Sloan is a timid girl but learning that human touch and attention is supposed to be a really good thing. She will need a patient, adult home to help her build confidence. She will also need a resident dog to help show her the ropes and teach her how to "dog".
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Sloan has been spayed and had a dental with a few extractions. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax.
More about SloanGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids, Likes to be in your lap, Timid, Skittish *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. |
