Spirit is a beautiful mini aussie who came to SFCR as a breeder release.

She is a very timid girl and is not a fan of being picked up. We are working hard to help her build confidence and bring her out of her shell.

Spirit will require a very special family with ample time and patience to help her become the dog she was always meant to be.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - leash/harness walking is not something Spirit is comfortable with at this time.
  • Confident resident dog to help guide and teach her is a must.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
