Beanie is a darling little gentleman! He came to rescue with his best friend, Nina as their owner was no longer able to care for them properly.

Beanie and Nina are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Beanie is a bit more "chill" than Nina - he is all about sitting in a lap and taking a nap :)

He is a very sweet little fella and enjoys chasing Nina back and forth as she plays fetch. 

Beanie is crate trained and doing very well with his housetraining.

Beanie's right eye was removed prior to coming to rescue. We were told he was attacked by a much larger dog which resulted in the loss of his eye.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Beanie and Nina are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.
  • Physically fenced in yard to keep them safe.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
