9/7/25 Update: Tilly had a mammary tumor removed at the time of her spay/dental. Unfortunately, the histopathology came back as a carcinoma :(

Tilly will be going in for radiographs on 9/18 to check for metastasis. We won't be accepting any adoption interest at this time but will update when we have more information! 

 

Tilly is a beautiful female cavalier in search of her perfect forever family.

She came to us as a breeder release and is learning what being a house dog is all about.

Tilly is a very affectionate girl - she loves to snuggle and be in a lap. She is crate trained and working hard on her housetraining.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard to keep her safe - no invisible fences. Walking on a leash/harness is still very much a work in progress.
  • Tilly would be happiest in a home with a canine companion to help show her the ropes.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
