Layla is an adorable girl slowly learning to trust. She still gets a little nervous when you go to pick her up, but she’s slowly doing better. She is a little shy yet but is learning that pets can be so nice. She jumps on the couch and likes to be near her foster family. She can go up stairs but hasn’t quite figured out how to go down. Layla loves treats. She runs like a puppy in the yard she is so happy to be outside. She has not had any accidents but is consistently let out for bathroom breaks.
More about LaylaGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Timid *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
