Riley came to us due to his previous owner's lifestyle changes and a move. Riley is a fun little man that gets along with everyone. He gets nervous around small children so he must go to a home with adults only. Riley gets nervous during thunderstorms as well but as long as he has someone to cuddle up with, he does just fine. Riley will make someone an awesome companion.
*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.
Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
