Boots came to rescue with his sister Bella in search of his forever family. He is a very sweet boy who loves to play and snuggle. Boots is litter box trained, FIV/FeLV negative, and his vaccinations/neuter surgery will be covered by the rescue. *We are accepting applications for Boots & Bella at this time but they will not be ready to go to their forever homes for a few more weeks. Boots and Bella will need to be adopted locally so that they are able to finish their vetting with the rescue's veterinarian in Sioux Falls, SD. More about BootsGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
