Hound / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Medium
Honey Dew is a very energetic, enthusiastic hound mix in search of her perfect forever family. We call her Honey because she is just SO sweet and truly loves everybody. She does great with the other dogs in her foster home and is starting to respect the cat. Honey would do best in a home without small children - her size, energy, and enthusiasm could easily knock a small child over (accidentally of course). Honey loves to be outdoors and is very active - she would make a phenomenal running partner. Honey must go to a home with a large fenced in yard or acreage - she has lots of energy and needs someone that has the time and energy to exercise her daily. Honey is now housetrained and crate trained. She will need someone that is willing to continue teaching her manners and basic obedience. Honey is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm & tick borne illnesses, started on monthly heartworm & flea/tick prevention, and microchipped. Honey weighs 41.6 pounds, is estimated to be around 1 year old, her adoption fee is $300 plus tax.
More about Honey DewGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Plays fetch, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Goofy *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. |
