Hiya! My name is Benny! I'm a super sweet 1 year old male havanese. I made my way to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. I'm quite skittish, especially when meeting new people but I'm working really hard to build my confidence. I sure am loving this brand new life of mine!

I have been working really hard on my housetraining but it is still a work in progress. I do wear a belly band to help keep me accountable inside. I am crate trained and used to sleeping in my crate at night.

I REALLY like the other dogs in my foster home and they help me feel so much more confident. I love to run and play outside with the other pups in my foster home.

I had my teeth cleaned when I was under for my neuter surgery. Foster mom says it is likely that I will need regular dental cleanings throughout my life as I already had heavy tartar on my teeth at just 1 year old!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

Physically fenced in yard - Benny is a breeder release dog and not familiar with walking on a harness/leash, he is also a flight risk and needs a fence for his safety.
Confident resident dog preferred.
Patient family willing to continue to work on confidence building, basic obedience, and housetraining.
Home with dog savvy kids (ages 8 & up)

Benny has been neutered and received a dental cleaning while in rescue. He tested negative for heartworm & tick borne diseases, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600 plus tax.
