Pumpkin is a sweet little Shih-Poo - she came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility. She is doing so well and has come so far while in foster care. 

She needs a family that will give her plenty of time to warm up and adjust. Pumpkin is still a bit nervous about being picked up and held. 

Pumpkin is working hard on her housetraining and is crate trained. She will often times go in her crate on her own - it is a safe place for her.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard - Pumpkin is a breeder release dog and is not familiar or comfortable walking on a harness/leash. A physical fence is required for her safety.
  • Confident resident dog to help teach Pumpkin how to be a dog.

 

Pumpkin has been spayed and had a dental cleaning with extractions. She is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
