Hope is a darling little Shih Tzu who came to SFCR as a breeder release. She is still learning all about this brand-new life of hers. She is a sweet little gal and is starting to figure out that human affection is a really good thing. She loves her mealtimes and enjoys a good chew treat every once in a while. Hope does very well with the other dogs in her foster home and seems to enjoy their company and the ability to follow their lead.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:
Hope has been spayed and had a dental cleaning. She also had her right eye removed due to microphthalmia causing severe discomfort and drainage. She tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400 plus tax. More about HopeGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Cratetrained, Timid *All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne disease, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped. Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they may need extra time to adjust and settle in. Older children are often a great fit for our dogs, and family's with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may require a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly. |
