William is an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He was born in rescue after his momma, Annie smuggled in a tummy full of puppies.

William is the smallest of the litter and a true fighter. He was bottle fed to supplement and is very, very fond of humans. He adores attention and will stick his nose under his foster mom's arm to snuggle. This little fella is fearless - he will take on any of his siblings, and anything from a pant leg to a mop with gusto :)

*William and his siblings will be available beginning 8/23/24. Applicants will be screened and chosen prior to the availability date.

 

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fenced in yard preferred.
  • Cavaliers are prone to developing mitral valve disease (heart disease) as adults. Please do ample research on cavaliers and their potential health issues prior to applying.
  • Family with the time and patience required to properly train & socialize a puppy.
  • William will be adopted out with a mandatory neuter agreement (must be neutered by 7 months of age).

William is current on age-appropriate vaccinations & deworming and has also been microchipped. His adoption fee is $700 plus tax.

*All SFCR dogs are current on age-appropriate vaccinations (rabies, distemper, bordetella, and lepto), spayed/neutered (if at least 6 months of age), tested for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, receive dentals if needed, are started on preventatives for heartworm and fleas/ticks, and microchipped.

Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have received limited socialization, so they generally require extra time to settle in and acclimate. Skills like house training, leash walking, and mastering stairs may require a little extra practice. However, with understanding, patience, and a gentle hand, most of our dogs adapt quite quickly.
